Associate Superintendent - Student Services

The Red Deer Public School Division seeks an educational leader with integrity and high standards to join our senior leadership team. The successful candidate must be able to foster collaboration, respect, and trust. Duties will commence on August 25, 2025, or on a mutually agreed-upon date.
The Associate Superintendent- Student Services will provide leadership in the following areas:
- Inclusive Programming and Student Support- Ensures compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures related to inclusive programming and support services. Provides professional development and ongoing support for inclusive programming.
- Learning- Ensures students meet educational standards and learning outcomes within areas of responsibility. Supports student transitions, access to specialized programs, and allocation of educational assistants.
- Student Wellness- Ensures a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students. Oversees a coordinated service delivery model for student wellness programs and support services.
- Human Resources Management- Supervises and evaluates direct reports, including Student Services Coordinators and support teams. Assists in the recruitment and selection of professional staff.
- Fiscal Responsibility- Develops and manages the departmental budget within Division constraints. Ensures responsible fiscal management and operational efficiency.
- Policy and Administrative Procedures- Assists in the development and implementation of Board policies and administrative procedures. Ensures compliance with policies and evaluation procedures.
- Organizational Management- Demonstrates strong organizational skills to meet legal, Ministerial, and Board mandates. Effectively manages emergencies and crisis situations.
- Communications and Community Relations- Maintains open, transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders. Builds partnerships with community agencies and contracted service providers.
- Superintendent Relations- Maintains a professional relationship with the Superintendent. Provides necessary information to support effective decision-making.
- Leadership Practices- Demonstrates respected and effective leadership. Upholds high professional and organizational integrity.

Educational leaders with the following qualifications and attributes are encouraged to apply:
- A graduate degree in Education, Leadership, or other relevant disciplines
- Proven leadership in school and / or system administration
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
- Ability to offer strategic insight and make informed decisions concerning Student Services
- Superior communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
